ANIMALS

Australian Ibis
Threskiornis molucca

ibisThe Ibis is common in northern Australia, they are scavengers, eating any live food or, as is more common nowadays near towns, they scavenge at dumps.

These meat eating birds belong to a family that has cousins all around the tropical world.  The long curved beak allows it to penetrate into cracks, crevices and holes in order to extract their food.
