Black Swan
Cygnus atratus

The Black Swan is only found in Australia and occurs quite widely in groups, (this is the only true communal swan).

Swans posses more vertebrae bones in their necks than any other animal.  This is so they can manoeuvre their heads and beak extremely well under water to get at their food sources.
